Police Officers: Dangers & Duties
A recent article from WRAL.com about a semi-truck striking a police cruiser illustrates the risks of the profession. A routine traffic stop was turned into a potential tragedy when a semi-truck swerved into the vehicle. Police officers are unique in that they often are forced to put themselves into harm’s way, something that can’t be said of many other jobs. Injuries on the job for police offers are much more common.
Take a look at the article and think for a moment. Have you ever been driving for work and come close to an accident? Or carrying out another work duty where an accident almost occurred? It may be a good idea to think about personal injury and workman’s comp and how they could apply if those accidents did ever happen!
