For those who may not be aware, May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. Though at the Law Offices of D. Hardison Wood we believe motorcyclists should practice extreme caution every month, this month in particular is a great time to tighten up on your motorcycle safety practices — and your helmet.
According to the National Safety Council, fatalities involving motorists and motorcyclists increased 131 percent between 1998 and 2008. While driving a car has its fair share of dangers, there are additional factors involved in driving a motorcycle that automobile drivers may not face. In honor of Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month we have gathered some Dos & Don’ts of Motorcycle Safety.

- Wear the Right Gear (motorcycle helmet, gloves, jacket, protective pants, riding suit and boots)
- Obey Traffic Laws
- Be a Lifelong Learner by Constantly Improving Skills
