Frightening Wreck on U.S. 264 in Eastern Wake County on Wednesday
Knightdale, N.C. – Authorities were forced to shut down U.S. Highway 264 between Raleigh and Knightdale early Wednesday due to an accident between a cement truck and a car. The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. near exit 422 (Hodge Rd.). Information as to the cause of the crash has not yet been released. All we know is that the cement truck was turned over on its left side on the shoulder of the road and the car had damage to its rear bumper.
Though 2 people were carried from the scene on stretchers, there isn’t word on their condition yet. Authorities are urging drivers to avoid this stretch of U.S. Highway 264 for the time being. Read more about the accident here.
