Booze It & Lose It!
Every year law enforcement officers across the state set up mobile DUI checkpoints for their ‘Booze It & Lose It’ crackdown. This campaign generally runs from August 19th through September 5th, and during 2010’s campaign they charged more than 3,200 drivers with driving while impaired infractions, according to this WRAL article.
A DUI charge can result in thousands of dollars in court fees, fines and increases in the cost of auto insurance. In addition to the monetary penalties many people find their reputations damaged as well. The best choice is always letting a designated friend drive or taking a cab, but if you find yourself in a situation where you are charged, it’s imperative that you know your rights. D. Hardison Wood is experienced in defending these cases and we can educate you on your rights and the complicated issues that arise from these cases.
