Air Bag Concerns
While air bags can save lives there are valid injuries that result from an air bag deployment. Air bags, while they appear in commercials to deploy like a pillow, in fact, deploy in milliseconds inflating at approximately 200 miles per hour. Deployment at such a speed can oftentimes result in severe personal injuries. Victims have reported burns and abrasions. Generally, these will affect the face, head, arms and hands. In other instances, an air bag deployment can lead to eye injuries or even more serious, head trauma such as brain injury. Further, an air bag deployment is loud. Hearing loss has been an injury our clients have suffered during car crashes in the Raleigh area.
